What is Lactisole Powder?
Lactisole Powder is a food additive commonly used to reduce the sweetness of sugar in food and beverages. It is a carboxylic acid salt and functions by inhibiting the sweet receptors on the tongue, thereby diminishing the perception of sweetness. Lactisole is often used in products where controlling the level of sweetness is essential, such as in certain baked goods, jams, jellies, and other processed foods. It can be instrumental in balancing flavors in products with high sugar levels.
Lactisole Powder(Sweet Inhibitor powder) Benefits
- Caloric Control: By reducing the perceived sweetness of foods and beverages, lactisole can help individuals control their calorie intake. This is particularly beneficial for those looking to reduce sugar consumption and manage weight.
- Improved Diet Quality: Lactisole can make less sweet, more nutritious foods (like certain vegetables) more palatable by reducing their inherent sweetness. This can encourage healthier eating habits.
- Blood Sugar Management: For individuals with diabetes or those managing blood sugar levels, lactisole can help reduce the temptation of sweet foods, potentially leading to better blood sugar control.
- Dental Health: Lower sugar intake can improve dental health, reducing the risk of cavities and gum disease.
- Flavor Balancing: Lactisole can balance flavors in food products, making them more appealing without adding sugars or sweeteners.
Lactisole Powder Manufacturing Process
- Collar Material and Packaging Sterilization
- Materials Calculation:
- The calculated materials, including Maltodextrin and sodium 2-(4-methoxyphenyl) propanoate, are cast into the mix.
- The materials are stirred for 15 minutes to ensure a homogeneous mixture.
- After mixing, the mixture is discharged for the next step.
- Casting Again:
- The cast material is then smashed.
- Sieving (40 Mesh)
- Quality Check – Unqualified Materials
- Disinfection of Packaging Materials
- Packing and Labeling
- Final Quality Check – Unqualified Products: If any product fails the final inspection after packing and labeling, it is marked as unqualified and removed from the final storage.
Recommended dose of Sweet Inhibitor powder
- The dosage of lactisole powder is 0.01% to 0.029% of the finished product, and it can be appropriately increased according to actual production needs.
- For products that can be mixed with water, such as mooncakes, jam, ice cream, syrup, etc., dissolve a certain amount of sweetness inhibitor powder uniformly in water at a sweetness inhibitor-to-water ratio of 1:50. Generally, add the sweetness inhibitor 50-60 minutes before removing the mooncakes, ensuring the sweetness inhibitor is evenly dissolved in the filling.
- Sweetness inhibitor powder can be directly mixed into products that cannot be mixed with water, such as chocolate, candy, butter, etc. Gradually mixing the sweetness inhibitor powder evenly is recommended.
- If the sweetness inhibitor powder is directly mixed with sugar, the dosage is 0.07% of the sugar’s weight, about 7 kg of sweetness inhibitor mixed evenly with 10,000 kg of sugar.
